Jeremy Lichtenstein
Jeremy was raised in Garrett Park, MD, where he still lives today. A graduate of Charles Woodward High School, he owned and operated a landscape company for more than 20 years before transitioning into real estate, where he has become one of the top agents in the country.
(Co-Founder)Jeremy has long been committed to giving back to his community, supporting numerous charities over the years. In 2012, he founded Kids In Need Distributors (KIND) to address the urgent issue of childhood hunger in Montgomery County, MD. Under his leadership, KIND grew over 13 years from providing food to 37 children in one school to supporting more than 3,000 children across 31 schools. Jeremy later guided KIND through a successful merger with Manna Food to ensure long-term stability for the families it served.
Recognizing that many families in Montgomery County continue to face significant hardships, Jeremy recently co-founded Buddleia Enterprises Corp. The organization partners with JoAnn Leleck Elementary School at Broad Acres—where the highest percentage of families live below the poverty line in the county—to help provide basic necessities to those most in need.
Dushanti Peiris
Dushanti lives in Kensington, Maryland, and has built a distinguished career in the banking industry since beginning her professional journey in 1990.
(Co-Founder)She holds a B.S. in Marketing from the University of Maryland and graduated with Honors from the Maryland Banking School in 2011. Dushanti currently serves as Vice President at M&T Bank’s Pike Center Branch in Rockville, MD.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Dushanti is deeply committed to community service throughout Montgomery County. She is a co-founder of Buddleia Enterprises Corp. and serves on its Board of Directors. Her extensive volunteer leadership includes serving on the Boards of the Greater Bethesda Chamber of Commerce (since 2016), the Council for Professional Women in Banking & Finance (since 2001), YMCA Bethesda–Chevy Chase (since 2018), Sunflower Bakery (since 2024), Metro Bethesda Rotary (since 2016), and Imagination Stage (2018-2021).
Dushanti’s career and community work reflect her dedication to strengthening local organizations, supporting youth development, and fostering professional growth within the banking industry.
Mark B. Epstein
After serving four years in the United States Marine Corps, he earned his degree from the University of Maryland in 1989.
Mark went on to teach in Montgomery County at both Einstein High School and Julius West Middle School before beginning his long professional partnership with Jeremy, which has now spanned 19 years.
Mark joined Jeremy on the Board of Directors for Kids In Need Distributors (KIND) at its founding in 2012 and remained an active board member throughout the organization’s 13-year history. He is now honored to serve on the inaugural Board of Directors for Buddleia Enterprises.
Mark brings nine years of financial experience as a financial advisor with Morgan Stanley and Capitol Securities. He has managed the bookkeeping for Jeremy & Daughters, LLC since 2006, and maintained the financial records for KIND from 2012 to 2024. All financial records for KIND were independently reviewed and verified by Pardis Kimia, CPA, of Synergy Financial Services. Synergy will provide the same service for Buddleia Enterprises.
Mark is a proud graduate of Montgomery County Public Schools, having completed his studies at Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School in 1981. After serving four years in the United States Marine Corps, he earned his degree from the University of Maryland in 1989.
